Y Dderwen- The Oak is ideally suited for walkers. If you fancy camping we have an adjacent field that you can use. We are featured in a number of walking magazines. From here you can roam to Moel Fammau, Offa's Dyke, The Clwydian Hills or just potter around the forest tracks which are right on our doorstep. We are situated on the A541, some four miles west of Mold on the Mold to Denbigh Road. As you come out of the village of Hendre we are some 600 yards on the right - you can not miss us - plenty of parking spaces for groups of walkers.
.

Saturday nights are taken up with bingo and singing. On the first and 2nd Saturdays of each month we play bingo with the snowball being over £265 at times - plenty of fun. At the moment it is £167.
On the third and fourth Saturdays we sing with Ivor on the organ all the old favourites being bellowed out in Welsh and in English. Do not worry if you do not know the words we have a special printed song book to help you - all the mod cons for a good time, with the new edition having just been printed.

We do not do food here at Y Dderwen-The Oak - however with prior arrangement we can provide you with a buffet. You tell us how much you want to spend per head, how many of you there are, and leave the rest to us. We contract out to a local lady who produces superb, tasty, food - well worth it and extremely good value for money. If you want a special buffet in a convivial and friendly atmosphere get in touch with us and we will sort an excellent day or evening for you.
