David & Lynn Taylor welcome you to The Ferns Guest House, a beautiful 4 Star Bed & Breakfast situated in the village of Betws-y-Coed, right in the heart of The Snowdonia National Park. We offer 7 comfortable en-suite bedrooms all with TV and tea/coffee making facilities. We are perfectly situated for all the shops, restaurants, railway and major bus routes.
We have been coming to Betws-y-coed every year for several years now and always tried different places to stay every time, that is until now. At The Ferns we have found simply the best B & B in the area. Clean, comfortable, warm, great hosts and a scrumptious breakfast. We will be back. Tim and Katie.

There is a superb range of speciality shops within walking distance of The Ferns, as well as the Railway and Motor Museums, a nine hole golf course and the Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre.
Betws-y- coed is commonly known as "the Gateway to The Snowdonia National Park". It enjoys a superlative setting, surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country. At Betws-y-Coed the river Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west the Llugwy, the Lledr and the Machno and the beauty of the area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. The villages location in the heart of Snowdonia make it the ideal centre for touring and exploring this spectacular region.
Betws-y-coed is also the perfect location for exploring the whole of North Wales an area full of Myths and Legends. Explore Medieval Castles at Caernarfon, Harlech and Conwy. Take the Underground deep into the local Slate Mines or an Overground Railway up Snowdon or on a variety of other spectacular routes. Wonderful walks can be had in every direction leading to Waterfalls, Ruins, Viewpoints, Mountain Passes or the excellent local Shops. The magical fantasy village of Portmeirion is within easy reach as are the beaches and stunning coastal scenery of Llandudno and the Lleyn Peninsula. Lovers of historic houses and gardens are in for a treat with Bodnant, Penrhyn, Plas Mawr, Bodelwyddan and many others nearby.

Following the very positive reaction to the first Betws-y-coed Arts Festival in 2009 the event has grown this year into the Snowdonia Arts Festival, which will take place in the village of Betws-y-coed between the 8th and 10th of October.

Snowdonia is famous the world over for its majestic rugged beauty. Betws-y-coed is long renowned for its stunning scenery, emerald forests and fast flowing rivers; a natural base for a walking festival. For over a century, walkers have been drawn to the village and the region in their thousands to enjoy the great outdoors.
